In 2016, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) came into force, which were drawn up by the United Nations with the aim of achieving sustainable development at the social, economic and ecological levels. 17 goals with a total of 169 sub-goal targets have been set, which are to be achieved by 2030 and focus on poverty reduction, sustainable economy and environmental protection. The SDGs contain five core messages as guiding principles, which are referred to as the “5 Ps”: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership. The Agenda 2030 for sustainable development applies to all countries in the world, i.e. both industrialized countries as well as emerging and developing countries should be involved and contribute to the achievement of objectives.
With our projects in Zambia – of 7×7 Zambia Limited as well as of the Menshi Ya Mweo Trust -, we also want to make a contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Below you can see how our project ideas will contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.
